Skillset ABA providers are recognized experts in ABA therapy services. Our treatment team is comprised of Masters level Behavior Analysts who oversee a team of highly trained Behavior Technicians. As a smaller BCBA owned company, we are able to dedicate our resource to prioritize the needs of each of our learners and their families ensuring the highest quality and most effective aba therapy services.

Skillset believes that all behavior is communication, and we empower our learners with a variety of strategies and tools aimed to reduce frustration and anxiety and increase communication, self-advocacy, emotional regulation, social, and independent skills; allowing for our clients to reach their fullest potential.  Skillset believes that progress is best achieved by positive relationships and approaches where learners and their families feel supported, nurtured and heard.

Each learner in our aba program is provided with an individualized treatment plan tailored to their specific needs and goals. As a science driven approach to learning, data of programs are continually monitored and adjusted based on learner performance to ensure on-going progress.

ABA therapy aims to identify behaviors that are not best serving an individual and teaching more effective replacement behaviors in its place. ABA can reduce severe problem behaviors that may endanger health and safety, and which would otherwise limit educational, vocational and residential options for an individual. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science of learning and motivation to promote socially significant behavior change. Decades of research supports ABA's effectiveness in teaching skills to improve communication, social and independence for learners with developmental disabilities in the home, school and community settings.

Currently, New York state has only approved ABA services for individuals with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Additionally, a prescription for ABA must be obtained from your doctor before services are provided.
